چکیده
There is strong evidence for the existence of black holes(BHs) in some X-ray binaries and most galatic nuclei, based on different measuremental approaches, but black holes aren’t finally identified for the lack of very firm observational evidence up to now. Because the direct evidence for BHs should come from determination of strong gravitational redshift, we hope an object can fall into the region near the BH horizon where radiation can be detected. Therefore the object must be compact stars as neutron stars(NSs), then the intense astrophysical processes will release very high energy radiation which is transient, fast-variant. These phenomena may point to gamma-ray bursts(GRBs) observed. And recent observations of iron lines suggest that afterglows of GRBs show the similar property in active galatic nuclei(AGNs), implying GRBs may originate from intense events related to black holes. In this letter, a model for GRBs and afterglows is proposed to obtain the range of gravitational redshifts(zg) of GRBs with known cosmological redshifts. Hence, we provide a new method that with a search for high-energy emission lines(Xor γ-rays) in GRBs, one can determine the gravitational redshift. We expect zg > 0.5 or even larger, so that we can rule out the possibility of other compact objects such as NSs, suggesting that the central progenitors of GRBs should be black holes. We review some of the expectations for Primordial Black Hole evaporation and we review the properties of short Gamma Ray Bursts. It is plausible that these GRB come from PBH evaporation. We then show that the angular distribution asymmetry recently observed by us could be due to a concentration of PBH in the Galactic Arms like the Orion arm.

X-ray surveys of the extragalactic universe are now able to detect significant numbers of AGN out to high redshift (z ∼ 5). We highlight some results from the Chandra Multiwavelength Project (ChaMP) to measure the X-ray luminosity function out to these early epochs. At z > 3, we show that the comoving space density of luminous (log L X > 44.5) AGN has a behavior similar to the optical QSO lumin...

We suggest Nova Sco 1994 (GRO 1655-40) as a possible relic of a Gamma Ray Burster (GRB) and Type Ib supernova (SN) explosion, showing that there is evidence both that the black hole was spun up by accretion and that there was a supernova explosion. We use the disc energy delivered from the rotational energy of the black hole to power the SN, and give arguments that roughly equal energy goes int...

We report on optical observations on GRB 000210 obtained with the 2.56m Nordic Optical Telescope and the 1.54-m Danish Telescope starting 12.4 hours after the gamma-ray event. The content of the X-ray error box determined by the Chandra satellite is discussed.
